Position Description:   
Reporting to Food Services Director, the Warehouse Coordinator / Driver is responsible for coordinating the activities and operations of the warehouse, and driving, loading and unloading the delivery truck to secure and distribute food and merchandise donations. 
  
Essential Duties:
·         Operates box truck to haul fresh and frozen foods.
·         Inspects vehicles before and after trips to ensure systems, safety equipment, and cargo areas are in working order.
·         Loads and unloads cargo while keeping perishable items secure and within required temperature ranges.
·         Follows delivery schedules and drives to designated pick-up and drop-off points, adhering to traffic laws and safety procedures. 
  • Establishes and maintains positive and productive relationships with all community partners and stakeholders, including store managers and other personnel.
  • Manages warehouse inventory and maintains records.
  • Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
  • Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse.
  • Manages daily flow of products by modifying storage as needed.
  • Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
  • Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
  • Directs delivery drivers to store goods in identified areas.
  • Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of finished product as needed.
  • Operates van, truck, and vertical stacker as needed.
  • Responsible for delivery of meals from Aspen Center at Hover Crossing to
    Aspen Center downtown.
  • Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Other Duties:
 
1.      Utilizes partner agency websites to order, track and submit data.
2.      Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
 
Education and Training:
 ·         High school diploma or equivalent required.
 ·         Possess or acquire within thirty (30) days of employment, SERV Safe Food Safety Training.
 ·         Possess or acquire within 60 days of employment, OSHA pallet jack certification.
 ·         Clean Colorado DMV record and ability to pass background check.
 
Experience:
  • At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required.
  • At least two years of power stacker experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
·         Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably in both English and Spanish.
·         Exceptional customer service skills.
·         Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
·         Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
·         Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
·         Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
·         Ability to occasionally work outside of regular office hours in order to meet organizational commitments in the community.
 
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
·         Prolonged periods of moving about in warehouse, market and surrounding areas. 
·         Prolonged periods of driving.
·         Frequent lifting and carrying of approximately 50 lbs.
